Compliancy Group has released an update that overhauls the Training Module within The Guard. This introduces new Training Functionality for assigning Courses to the entire Workforce; as well as a brand new Course Catalog filled with Core Trainings, Premium Courses, and Custom Course (Available to specific Tiers/Subscriptions) content that Organizations may upload themselves!
For Existing Customers using the current Training features - Any existing Training that has been assigned recently or is currently ongoing - this will continue to function based on the parameters it was set up with. However, we encourage all Customers to begin using the new Training LMS features to significantly improve how Training can be delivered to your workforce members.
We'll briefly detail some major components of these changes below, while another article will provide more guidance on the "How to Setup Training" using the new features.
The Training Module will now look like the above image! Initially, this area will be empty, but we'll share what this looks like when Training has been assigned shortly. A few key things regarding the outlined options above:
- Browse Course Catalog (Red) - Select this to browse the entire Course Catalog. In the following page, an Organization can select a Training Course (or multiples at a time) to be added to a Training. Organizations may also Preview the Course Content before deciding to deploy it. Each Course includes a brief description of the course content as well as an Estimate Duration to complete the course.
- Create New Training (Purple) - Select this to begin creating a Training. This will launch the Training Setup Wizard page and provide steps to add courses and set up the training parameters.
- Export (Green) - Training reports can now be generated from within the Training Module. Select Export and choose a PDF or CSV Report option and complete the information in the form!
- Extra Options/Ellipses Button (Blue) - Don't worry, Existing Customers! All of the existing "Legacy" Trainings are kept in this area! While the functionality to assign Trainings using the older functionality has been deprecated - Officers/Admins can still access and review with an updated UI. "Legacy" Trainings will continue to operate based on their existing parameters, but we highly encourage all Organizations to begin using the new Features and Content as soon as possible!
Once an Organization gets the Training courses set up, the Training module will look a lot more lively:
Each Training has its own "Dashboard," where the Progress for each course can be reviewed, Enrollment Criteria can be altered or reviewed, and Settings can be changed. There are options from these tiles to Close or Archive Training when it is no longer needed.
