Creating a New Program
The Program module will allow Organizations to Start New Program, generate pre-existing Program content or create Custom Content**

Creating a New Program
To Generate a New Program:
- Navigate to the Programs module.
- Select + Start New Program.
- Choose the program the organization requires.
- Click Next (located in the bottom-right corner).
- Select the Location, then click Next.
- Assign Team Members (Admin > Team) who will be working on the program, then click Next.
- Review the program setup details and click Start Program.
- Once created, either:
Select View Program on the confirmation screen to jump directly into the program.
Select Reset to clear the form and start a new program setup.
Importing from an Existing Program
To import from an existing program:
Navigate to the Programs module.
Select + Start New Program.
Choose the program the organization needs.
Review/modify the program name:
If a program with the same name already exists, append a unique suffix to the new program’s name.
Select the Location for the program.
Choose Yes to import content from an existing program.
7. Select the existing program to import:
** Imported content includes: Associated Policies, Control Status, Risk Ratings, Tasks, Evidence, and Notes.
8. Add Team Members who will work on the program, then click Next.
9. Review the Program setup details, then select Start Program
Creating a Custom Program
Note: Custom Program features are available exclusively to Enterprise customers. Please contact your CSM for additional details about this functionality.
To create a custom program:
- Navigate to the Programs module.
- Select + Start New Program.
- Choose the Custom option, then click Next.
- Select the Location, then click Next.
- Assign Team Members (Admin > Team) who will work on the program, then click Next.
- Review the program setup details and click Start Program.
Custom programs are manually built to address standards that may not be covered by the existing program library in The Guard. They enable organizations to:
Create controls specific to their unique standards or compliance needs.
Build programs that are independent of The Guard’s pre-mapped content or Compliancy Group’s library.
